Shayne Veramallay: Co-Founder & Managing Partner of CAЯBON

Shayne Veramallay is a Co-Founder & Managing Partner of CAЯBON, a social impact enterprise that creates blueprint, “CAЯBON copy” franchises of proven solutions with profitable models that advance Education, Women’s Resiliency, and Resource Efficiency (Food, Energy, Water). Shayne has focused his work at CAЯBON to help empower entrepreneurs in communities around the world to achieve sustainable growth at an unprecedented velocity by implementing its “economies in a box” through a financially inclusive model.

Shayne’s background in venture capital, private placements, startup operations, advisory, and M&A spans multiple sectors including impact, education, IT, industrial, advanced materials, and life sciences. His prior work experience includes serving as Global Head of DLA Piper's Accelerate Advisory Group and Venture Pipeline as well as Director of Sustainability and Business Development of Hycrete Inc. He's also served as a Vice President at JPMorgan, a Principal at NJTC Venture Fund, and a Director of Analytics at iLevel Solutions.

Shayne regularly consults with startups on deal structuring, syndication, strategic development, and alternative financing. He also actively engages youth through guest lecturing appearances at universities and high schools on social entrepreneurship and how to create impact.

Shayne holds a BA in Finance and International Business from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

Zeke Hughs: Sr. Director, Business Development at Mindcrest

Zeke Hughes is an entrepreneurial, high-energy business development professional with deep experience in the legal industry. He is Director and Head of Business Development for Mindcrest, an alternative legal services firm, where he supports a variety of financial services, private equity and technology clients.

Prior to joining Mindcrest, Zeke helped drive Business Development for Axiom Law and Clifford Chance US. He started his career with PwC, helping to build the firm's Private Equity business.

Zeke holds a BA magna cum laude in English and Philosophy from Boston College.

 

Dean Phillips-Page: Teacher at Collier Middle School

Dean Phillips-Page serves as a teacher for students with emotional and behavioral disorders at Collier Middle School in Wickatunk, NJ, and is a core member of the Operation Water team.

As a volunteer for Operation Water, Dean has made countless operational and technical contributions since its inception; noteworthy contributions include revisions to Operation Water’s branding and website, producing impact videos, drafting Catalyst event materials, and assisting during Catalyst events.

Previously, Dean served as Housemaster and Instructor at Summer Institute for The Gifted at Princeton, where he taught, supervised, and mentored students, counselors, and residential assistants. He was also an Academic Supervisor and ESL Instructor at The Knox School in South Korea, responsible for evaluating teachers, revising the curriculum, and teaching children from ages 5-15.

Dean received a BA in Psychology from Whitman College, an MA in Educational Psychology from Capella University, and is pursuing a post-graduate degree in Gifted Education Professional Development from Rutgers University.

Sajji Lazarus: Digital Designer, CMO of the Green Tara Project

Sajji Lazarus is a digital designer and anti-trafficking activist. She attended the School of the Art Institute in Chicago and then began working in the legal graphics industry, translating legal concepts to graphics and imagery.

Sajji also owns her own consulting company, Good as Gold, which designs social strategies, campaigns, websites, branding, and content for individuals, corporate clients, and nonprofits. Additionally, she works on behalf of the Green Tara Project, and teaches self-defense to sex-trafficking victims and high-risk youth both throughout the US and in India.
